Mothers of PreSchoolers (MOPS) - Bedford Community Church

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together…but let us encourage one another."-Hebrews 10:24

Welcome to MOPS - BCC

MOPS welcomes all mothers of children ages 0 to 5 years old. We meet the first Thursday of every month from September to June. Meetings start at 9:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Each month we have a speaker discussing different aspects of raising children and motherhood. There is a discussion time with small groups and often a creative activity.

Don’t worry about skipping breakfast - we have plenty of great food. Our friendly greeters will help you in the door and help you get the kids settled into their classrooms. Come when you can and leave when you must.

The MOPPETS program provides safe and nurturing childcare for the little ones. Children are grouped by age and have a great time playing together. They learn a bible lesson and have craft time. Snack is provided.

We also have a message board where you can chat with other moms about a variety of subjects and keep in touch with what is going on. MOPS Message Board

Thought for today

From Melissa Cancro

I was just thinking about what Kristen Milligan said at the March meeting. She said that she feels like God’s favorite! I thought wow - that’s pretty profound since she was diagnosed with an incurable liver cancer. But she was saying that every day God blesses her with miracles large and small. It made me think - I’m reading Max Lucado’s The Cure for the Common Life - which I recommend - it is very encouraging. He was saying that God has packed each one of us a special knapsack of talents and unique skills and if we do not use these skills and talents then they are lost to the world. God does not give duplicate gifts!

The world tells us that we are not special especially if we are not model thin - nipped and tucked, wealthy and perfect in every area of life. But next time you look in that mirror - see what God sees! That special person that he handcrafted. No one can do what you can do!

We should all feel like God’s favorites everyday!
